.0068uf 600V / 6PS-D68 Orange Drop - Amp & Guitar Tone Capacitor.
Premium Components - Cornell Dubilier (CDE) Orange Drop® Capacitors
Most often used for a guitar as a Treble Bleed when coupled in parallel with a resistor to fine tune the tone response.
Excellent for experimenting too... Personally I like to mount dual tone wiring with small value tone caps, especially on my stratocasters. I use a .0068 on the neck and middle pickups and a .047 or .022 on the bridge. This wiring means that the .0068 affects the tone of the neck and middle pickup, and the .047 or .022 only affects the bridge pickup.
After testing many caps in dual tone confirguration, I find that the smaller value caps provide a much more subtle adjustment and allow me to find the tone I am looking for more easily. But then again... the values of the tone caps are just a matter of personal taste, so it's up to you to see which one sounds best for you. See wiring
